Deep Tissue Technique
This technique will soften the superficial layer of muscle to reach the deeper tissue. In fact, all the treatments offered involve reaching the deeper tissue. Contrary to popular practice, this does not need to be a painful experience. Instead this gentle technique, which requires patience, softens the muscle fibers allowing the therapist to work more deeply. This will help improve range of motion, stiffness in the neck, hips and lower back as well as any other area that stiffness causes pain or lack of movement.
Aromatherapy
Essential oils have been used for centuries to alleviate everything from insomnia to muscle and joint pain. They can be used to treat Fibromyalgia, IBS, nervous system disorders, skin disorders, migraines, poor circulation, and probably anything else you could think of. Combining them with specific carrier oils, they form a very powerful healing tool to be used on the skin during the massage. All treatments include the use of these combined oils, unless it is otherwise requested.
Fascia Release
Fascia is the tissue surrounding bones, muscles, joints, nerves - encasing us from head to toe. It should hydrate and nourish the tissue, however it can be become dehydrated and stuck not allowing the muscles to release and contract. Fasica release is important to allow the muscles to stretch out and relax the way they should. This condition can effect anyone - those sitting at their desks all day, body builders, sports enthusiasts and tradesmen.
Cranio Sacral Massage
This massage involves re-balancing the rhythm of the cerebral spinal fluid. This rhythm differs from the pulse and heartbeat. Using a series of positions, the Fascia is warmed and released at specific points to restore your bodies natural rhythm. This gentle and noninvasive technique is especially helpful for those experiencing Migraines, TMJ, and Anxiety. Coupled with neck and cranial massage, this is extremely therapeutic.
Range of Motion, Sports & Injuires
By re-positioning the body to access muscle groups from different angles, work can be done to release scarring, adhesions, and muscle/joint impingement. This restores range of motion and reduces pain and inflammation. These techniques are especially effective on the shoulder, hip, wrist, neck and ankles.
